The APTMA protects the interests of companies, firms and persons engaged in the profession of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys, including Design Registration Attorneys, in Ireland, and strives to improve and elevate the technical and general knowledge of persons in those professions and to promote just and honourable practice in the conduct of business and to suppress malpractice.

The APTMA represents virtually all registered Patent Attorneys and most Trade Mark Attorneys in Ireland.
